Amala Ekpunobi

Amala Ekpunobi is a conservative commentator whose brand is built substantially on her left-to-right conversion story: she was raised in what she describes as a far-left activist household and worked as a progressive organizer before a self-described ideological transformation brought her to the right around age 20. From 2021 to 2023 she was an in-house PragerU personality hosting the show Unapologetic (also distributed via The Daily Wire), and in September 2023 she left that role to run the show independently on her own YouTube channel, where it continues as a daily live program. Her content is culture-first rather than policy-first — reaction and commentary on gender debates, feminism, race, campus politics, and media — aimed largely at a Gen-Z audience. She sits on the mainstream cultural right in the PragerU/Daily Wire orbit rather than in any populist or paleoconservative faction, and her positioning has been stable since her conversion.
