Bill Kristol is an American writer and political commentator who was the founder and editor-at-large of the political magazine The Weekly Standard. He is now editor-at-large of the center-right publication The Bulwark and, since 2014, host of Conversations with Bill Kristol, an interview web program. A figure associated with neoconservatism, he became a prominent voice in the Never Trump movement.

Kristol spent decades as an architect of the Republican establishment — chief of staff to Vice President Dan Quayle and founder of the neoconservative magazine The Weekly Standard — before becoming one of the most prominent Never-Trump conservatives from 2016 onward. He is now editor-at-large of The Bulwark, director of the anti-Trump group Defending Democracy Together, and host of Conversations with Bill Kristol, and his commentary is devoted almost entirely to opposing Trump, whom he argues threatens liberal democracy.
