Bill Maher is an American comedian, political commentator, and longtime host of HBO's weekly talk show Real Time with Bill Maher, which he has hosted since 2003 and which features a monologue, interviews, and a panel of guests. He previously hosted Politically Incorrect and now also hosts the podcast Club Random. Maher, host of HBO's Real Time since 2003, self-describes as an old-fashioned liberal and insists that "woke" politics is not an extension of liberalism — much of his recent commentary blames the Democratic Party's left flank for its 2024 loss.
