Brian Krassenstein

Brian Krassenstein is a liberal, Democratic-aligned commentator who, with his twin brother Ed, became one of the best-known faces of the online anti-Trump "Resistance" during Trump's first term, building an audience largely by replying directly to Trump's posts. He is an entrepreneur rather than a party operative, and his politics are defined more by opposition to Trump than by a specific ideological program. The brothers were banned from Twitter in 2019 for violating platform-manipulation rules and reinstated in 2022 under Elon Musk's ownership; Brian has since sparred publicly with administration figures, including an exchange with Vice President JD Vance in September 2025 over a US strike on a Venezuelan boat. In December 2025 he drew backlash, including calls for a Secret Service investigation, over a post saying America should "put [Trump] to sleep" — wording he said was a parody of a post Trump had made about Stephen Colbert using the same phrase — and in April 2026 the brothers lost their TikTok account, a removal celebrated by conservative critics who accused them of spreading misinformation.
