Is Don Lemon left or right?
Don Lemon is a liberal broadcaster who now runs The Don Lemon Show as an independent YouTube and podcast operation, after CNN fired him in April 2023 following a 17-year run. A planned 2024 distribution deal with X collapsed when Elon Musk cancelled it the day after a contentious Lemon-Musk interview, and Lemon sued Musk over the cancelled deal in August 2024. His independent show is sharply critical of the Trump administration and of media corporations he says have bent to it, urging outlets to tell the administration "no." In January 2026 he livestreamed an anti-ICE protest inside a Saint Paul, Minnesota church, after which the Justice Department pursued federal charges against him; he pleaded not guilty in February 2026, and the episode has made him a prominent voice on press-freedom fights with the administration.
