Adams, who died on January 13, 2026 at age 68 from metastatic prostate cancer, spent his final decade as a Trump-aligned commentator on the right, framing his support around Trump's persuasion skills rather than conventional conservative ideology. He began blogging about Trump almost daily after the 2015 primary debates, and his daily "Coffee with Scott Adams" livestream made him a fixture of pro-Trump online media; Dilbert was dropped by newspapers and his syndicate in 2023 after racially charged remarks. His closeness to Trump was underscored in his final months: in November 2025 he publicly asked the president for help expediting access to a cancer drug after delays with his health provider, credited the administration for delivering it, and when he died Trump mourned him on Truth Social as "the Great Influencer." His account remains on the roster posthumously; no new commentary has been produced since January 2026.
